She's an Australian Labradoodle.
Most people have heard of Labradoodles by now (1/2 Lab 1/2 Standard Poodle). There are tons of backyard breeders that have popped up all over America trying to cash in on this "designer breed" or "mutt". However, the authentic Australian Labradoodle originated in a specific breeding program out of Australia. They are bred for "intuitiveness, temperament and wonderful personality that will capture your heart." Specifially, they've been developed for service work because of those qualities. You can read more about them here....http://www.rutlandmanor.com/ There is a big difference between a Labradoodle & an Australian Labradoodle. My girl was bred with a purpose.
Her name is Sydney, after her country's infamous city. She's 65lbs of doodly, poodly-springy, dreadlocks. Mostly black fur with some chocolate trimming in her beard. She's unique in her looks & although I think she's beautiful...her mug is one only her family (us!) can love....
I just love her crooked little smile & pearly teeth! She's my big baby!
She loves to run & chase her country cousin dog, Bella, a great pyreness.
don't they look like an oreo cookie playing together? Bella guards a herd of Zebu cows on her family ranch. Sydney wants to play & run with the bulls....silly girl.

She is up to greet me the minute my feet touch the floor each morning. She's my prayer partner & lays by my side while I read the bible. She's my exercise buddy, gardening guard & spare kitchen floor mop. She toodles along in the "Mom Taxi" taking Jo & Ben here & there. She's my best girl & I love her much...she gives the sweetest kisses & brings great joy to my life....
